The Insight toolkit must be installed before building SCIRun. The Insight toolkit and its complete installation instructions are available on the ITK web site. A brief set of ITK installation instructions are given below. SCIRun supports ITK version 2.2. Earlier versions are not supported.
ITK installation requires CMake, an open-source, cross-platform build tool. CMake can be obtained from the CMake web site.
SCIRun's Insight package must also be downloaded to add support for ITK in SCIRun. See “Downloading and Unpacking Sources”.
